don’t know about you, but I am so over this winter. Last week was brutally cold, and honestly, I am tired of it. The cold just won’t quit, and my electricity bill is proof—almost $400! The most expensive one I’ve had since moving into my house six years ago. I really hope I never see a bill like that again, though with last week’s deep freeze, I know this month’s won’t be pretty either.

But enough about the cold—let’s talk about something exciting! I officially announced another market I’m working on: LaNei’s Bakehouse Market in Ben Wheeler! This one is going to be a blast because it’s happening the same day as the big barstool races on March 15th. If you’ve never been, just picture an entire town coming together for the most hilarious (and slightly chaotic) racing event ever. Two years ago, when I had just started Harlequin Tea, I was there as a vendor, and we had so much fun! This time, I’m organizing the vendor market right in the middle of the action on LaNei’s front lawn, and I cannot wait. Now, I just need vendors to sign up! To help with that, I ran my first-ever Facebook Ad Campaign—$40 invested, and now I’m waiting to see if it’s worth it.
Meanwhile, I’m still hard at work on the Wills Point Community Market. It’s getting trickier to get vendors to sign up now that the weather is warming up and more events are popping up. I’m debating whether or not to take a break in July and August—it’s hot, but the market is indoors, so I haven’t made up my mind yet.
On top of all that, my schedule is shifting next week because I’m training in dispatch. Not my first choice, but orders are orders! That means the only days I’ll be “off” from EMS are Wednesday and Thursday, and those will be fully booked with market planning, vendor coordination, and catching up on everything. So, if I go a little quiet—don’t worry, I’m just buried in work!
Here’s to warmer days ahead and lower electricity bills!
