Yesterday started off like any other—me at home, sipping tea (of course!) and working on all things Wills Point Community Market. I was deep in vendor emails and event planning when I heard a knock at the door. Unexpected visitors? Yep!
I opened it to find a lovely couple standing outside. They looked a little hesitant but quickly asked, “Is this where we can find Harlequin Tea?”
Now, let me tell you—this isn’t a storefront. If you look us up on Google Maps, it might be a little confusing because, yes, it’s just a regular house. But that’s because Harlequin Tea is proudly run from home! It’s not your typical tea shop, but it is filled with heart, hustle, and seriously delicious blends.
They had searched “loose leaf tea in Dallas” and discovered we were just a short drive away. I explained that most of my tea sales happen at markets and events, but—lucky for them—I keep all my inventory in my car. So I did what any tea-loving entrepreneur would do: I opened up my trunk and welcomed them to my little “car store.” 🎉
We spent time chatting, sipping samples, and laughing. They were genuinely thrilled to find out they didn’t need to order tea from California or out of state—they had a tea dealer right here in Wills Point!
And while we were sipping and chatting, I got the perfect chance to tell them all about the Wills Point Community Market! They loved hearing about the upcoming event, and I truly hope I’ll see them again—this time as guests at our next market on March 26th!
It’s moments like these that make all the behind-the-scenes work so worth it. Community, connection, and a little spontaneity—that’s what small business is all about. 💛
If you’re ever curious about our teas or just want to talk blends and brews, don’t be shy. You never know—you might catch me and my tea trunk in action!
