Honoring Our Unsung Heroes!

As many of you know, I wear quite a few hats. I’m a small business owner, entrepreneur, and public speaker—but before all that, and still today, I proudly serve in Emergency Medical Services (EMS). I’ve been a Nationally Registered EMT for six years, and while I may not be on the ambulance right now, I’m still in the thick of it—working behind the scenes in our 911 Dispatch Center.

This year, I’ve taken it upon myself to make National Telecommunicators Week (April 13–19) a time to truly honor and uplift the amazing dispatchers I work alongside at Medical Jets. If you don’t know what this week is all about, it’s a nationally recognized opportunity to appreciate the professionals who are often the first to respond during emergencies—the calm, skilled voices who coordinate lifesaving care and make sure help gets where it needs to go.

Why It Matters

Last year, National Dispatch Week came and went with little to no recognition. Dispatchers received leftover candy as a token of appreciation. While the gesture may have been well-intended, it simply didn’t reflect the enormous responsibility and stress that these heroes handle daily.

At Medical Jets, our dispatchers do more than just answer 911 calls. We coordinate emergency response for Balch Springs and Dallas County, serve as backup for Kaufman County, and handle hospital transfers across DFW, Hunt County, Rockwall County, San Antonio, and more—all from our central dispatch center in Forney, TX. This is not just a job—it’s a lifeline.

My Mission: 15 Gift Baskets of Appreciation

To show my fellow dispatchers how much they’re truly valued, I’m creating 15 heartfelt gift baskets filled with goodies, gratitude, and maybe a little fun too. But I can’t do this alone—and that’s where you come in.

I’m reaching out to my community of fellow small business owners, supporters, and friends to help me fill these baskets. Whether you contribute a product, a gift card, a handwritten note, or something branded from your business, every item is a symbol of gratitude.

How You Can Help

No contribution is too small, and every gesture counts. This is a beautiful opportunity to support the first responders behind the scenes, while also showcasing your brand to a local team of professionals who truly make a difference.

Let’s work together to make National Telecommunicators Week 2025 unforgettable for the dispatchers who give their all—day in and day out—with very little recognition.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you for joining me in this mission. 💛
