I am a meal prep girl! I like having food in the freezer that I can just throw in the microwave and in minutes have a good, healthy meal. So I use my crockpot A LOT. I found this recipe on Facebook the other day and it sounded so good to me I just had to try. And it was much better than I could imagine! And it got plenty of sauce to it as well. I got 7 meals in the freezer that I just have to add rice, mashed potatoes or whatever I want to have to the meatballs. Super easy! So here is the recipe, enjoy!
2 lbs frozen meatballs
1 cup BBQ Hawaii sauce
1 cup pineapple juice
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup soy sauce
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon Black pepper
1 can (20 oz) pineapple chunks
In a large bowl, whisk together the bbq sauce, pineapple juice, brown sugar, soy sauce, garlic powder, onion powder and black pepper.
Place the frozen meatballs in the slow cooker
Pour the sauce mixture over the meatballs, ensuring they are well coated.
Add the drained pineapple chunks to the slow cooker. Mixing gently to combine.
Cover and cook on low for 4-5 hours or high for 2-3 hours until the meatballs are heated through and the sauce is thickened.
Stir the meatballs occasionally to ensure they are evenly coated with the sauce.
