Yesterday was one of those days where everything just lined up perfectly—amazing events, inspiring people, and a little sprinkle of good fortune! ✨
The morning kicked off with the 2nd Annual Women’s Luncheon in Wills Point, hosted by Bridging the Gap of Van Zandt County. This incredible 501(c)(3) nonprofit helps elderly individuals with things that Medicare, Medicaid, or insurance don’t cover—like replacing a broken fridge or freezer. What a blessing they are to our community! 💕 The room was filled with strong, inspirational women, and we shared a delicious meal (that chicken spaghetti—so good!). It was an uplifting experience, and to top it off, I was lucky enough to win a $40 gift card to Sheila Marie Boutique! 🙌 Turns out, that was just luck #1 of the day! 🍀
Later, I decided to check out a networking event at Elevated Moodz in Terrell after spotting it on Facebook. It’s a CBD shop with a cozy social lounge, and let me tell you—it did not disappoint! The atmosphere was welcoming, the networking was fantastic, and the finger foods were just right. I made some valuable new connections and caught up with familiar faces. But the best part? I won again—this time, a 30-minute massage gift card to Simply Massage in Terrell! 💆♀️ Whoop whoop! 🎉
Now, today is all about the “after-networking work”—sorting through business cards, following up with new connections, and adding them to my address book. I know some people let those cards collect dust, but not me! I actually enjoy organizing them and making sure I have the right contacts on hand. It’s a little time-consuming, but it’s so worth it. And with the rain pouring outside, it’s the perfect rainy-day task! ☔
