Yesterday, I had the opportunity to join fellow realtors for our annual visit to learn about what’s happening in Terrell ISD—and this year was even more special!
First, I have to give a huge thank you to Ambassador Mr. Anderson for helping me find my way to the Go! Center—because let me tell you, Terrell High School is a BIG campus! The Ambassadors do such an incredible job helping out at events, and it’s truly an honor to be chosen as one.
Now, about the Go! Center—if you haven’t heard of it yet, you’re not alone because it’s brand new! This space, envisioned by Principal Mr. Earl Gilmore, is dedicated to helping students plan for their futures—whether it’s college, university, scholarships, or career prep. Hearing from students about how this resource has helped them was so inspiring! 🎓
Before the tour, we enjoyed a delicious breakfast (thank you Hickory Roots BBQ and my sweet friend Susie Deen Hagler! 🍽️). Then, the Ambassadors took us around to see the Auto-Mechanic, Welding, and Robotics programs. I had heard about these programs before, but actually seeing the students at work was beyond impressive! They’re competing for scholarships and setting themselves up for bright futures! 🚗🤖🛠️
Only six realtors showed up this time, and all I can say is—if you weren’t there, you missed out! Learning about these programs helps me better guide families moving to the area, and I’m so grateful to Terrell ISD for inviting us.
